Frequently asked questions

Why is there condensation in my patio door?

The best way to prevent condensation is to control the amount of humidity in your house. Adequate ventilation and good air circulation are normally sufficient to solve this problem.

The chart below indicates the relationship between the exterior temperature and the level of humidity inside. If you could reduce the amount of humidity inside to the level indicated below, this could help to resolve the problem of surface condensation.

Exterior temperature /
Maximum level of inside humidity
- 30 °C / 15%
- 30 °C à - 25 °C / 20%
- 25 °C à - 18 °C / 25%
- 18 °C à - 12 °C / 30%
- 12 °C à - 5 °C / 35%
- 5 °C à + 5°C / 40%
